I have designed a mystery block of the month quilt but instead of stopping there I will be including a mystery novel for you to read (and solve the crime) as well as video tutorials to follow along while sewing!
Each month for one year you will receive a PDF pattern for that months quilt block, a few chapters of the novel, as well as links to the video tutorial for cutting and sewing each months block.
I have created a private Facebook group for every one to share their progress and upload photos of each months quilt blocks.
March 15, 1921.
Private Detective Chester Dawes receives a curious invitation from elusive society widow, Mrs Adelaide Lyle. The Lady of Lyle Manor. She requests his presence at a small party being held at the estate.
At dinner, Chester is intrigued to find his recently solved missing persons case to be of particular interest to his elegant and mysterious hostess. Even more so when she pulls him aside just as he is about to leave, requesting he return the next day for tea.
She is curious about his work investigating lost and missing people, and wonders if he would be able to find someone who has been missing for quite some time. She wants to hire him, she says, for she has someone she would like to find. Ezra Murphy, the man that tried to poison her late husband seven years ago and has disappeared ever since. Though she does not divulge why.
The Detective is unable to resist the challenge put forth by the Lady from Lyle, especially when it means possibly getting a second chance to work with a certain Inspector of the Victoria Police Department.
