Mystery Block Of The Month

A Twist On The Idea

I have designed a mystery block of the month quilt but instead of stopping there I will be including a mystery novel for you to read (and solve the crime) as well as video tutorials to follow along while sewing!

How It Works

Each month for one year you will receive a PDF pattern for that months quilt block, a few chapters of the novel, as well as links to the video tutorial for cutting and sewing each months block.

The Prizes

Every person that finishes their block and submits a photo before the next month will be entered into a "door prize" draw for some amazing notions.

As well for every person that completes their entire quilt top by the end of the year and guesses correctly on who perpetrated the crime in our novel will be entered into a draw for a grand prize package!!!

Share Your Progress

I have created a private Facebook group for every one to share their progress and upload photos of each months quilt blocks.

The Story

Victoria BC, 1920. Inspector Rochard “Roach” Mayhew is unremarkable. After a string of professional losses to his brilliant rival, the handsome Private Detective Chester Dawes, and still coming to terms with the recent passing of his dear mother, the fifty-two year old cop is suddenly faced with the reality of his withering mortality and lack of skill in the ever-evolving arena of criminal investigation. Crimes are just getting too clever for the Victoria beat cop!

Roach is on the verge of bowing out gracefully and retiring to his sleepy little community in St. Ann’s Court, but he is soon to find that even the most remarkable things can happen in the quietest of places, and not even Roach’s closest neighbours can be trusted.

Someone must find what happened to little Ruthie Cooke, and it might as well be him.

The Quilt

This is a sampler style quilt that will cover a variety of techniques from applique to traditional and foundation paper piecing. Designed to be an interesting challenge whether you are an adventurous beginner or seasoned quilter. The finished size is 69 1/2" X 86 1/2"

You can raid your stash,
